Oh yes sir yee

Singapore, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, now Portland, soon Chicago, New York, Washington, Boston, San Francisco, then all across Greece and Italy before heading to Denmark and Sweden. I should be exhausted already, or at least by the thought of what lay ahead. But truly my cup cakes, I am meeting so many insanely nice people (all cyclists naturally, and many architects too) that my smile is too broad for little things like a day of missed and delayed flights yesterday to bother me in the slightest. Yes, trolls are trying to fleece me at every bridge, but that’s the way travel goes. No, I should not have brought camping gear to lug around on my Brompton. But another city lay outside my hotel window waiting to be explored, with expert guides. I would gladly swap eternity singing crap hymns of praise to Jesus and those, for the heaven right here and now. Hope you’re all similarly "up" today too! Also, a big happy birthday to the wonderful Quinby, who turns 12 today. Son, you’re a huge inspiration.

    Dutch bike paths

    Interesting that those racing cyclists were still happy to use the bike paths. They obviously did not feel they were being slowed down in any way. I would like to have heard the rest of the conversation about helmets.

      Oh I had to cut the clip short, because she became very flirty. Quite embarrassing for a gentleman of my age and position.
      Lycra guys obviously avoid cycling right in the city, where all order parts and congestion takes over. Rotterdam is a little more spread out than old Amsterdam though, meaning most anyone can stretch their legs.
