Our clients, Mavid Group, had just purchased a development site for 25 units when they learned of Cycle Space through their selling agents Kapalua. Seeing their site was right on our proposed Newcastle Waterway Discovery Loop (as featured in the book Velotopia) Mavid invited us to work with their architects and make representations to government on their behalf. The result: glowing support from local government for the development application, a greater site yield (30+ units), much less car parking than originally envisaged, much higher sales prices, television news coverage, excellence in bike friendly apartment design, and a huge upgrade to nearby bike paths from developer funds that normally would have been spent fixing potholes on roads.
With our research, report writing and public speaking track record, Cycle Space is uniquely positioned to deliver outcomes like these in any city transitioning to bicycle centric urban planning and building design.
