My friend David in New York writes one of my favourite architecture blogs. It’s like Delirious New York, only free (sorry Rem. Sorry NAi). Today, our combined/perverse fascinations took us to Queens. David wanted to see an unregulated car repair district called the iron triangle (described in The Great Gatsby and this blog post of Davids). I wanted to see the 1939/1964 World’s Fair Site. We both wanted cheap chinese food for lunch in Flushing. Urban adventuring by bike in New York is the best. Sorry, no time to write much more. I have this talk to prepare. However, my speedy internet connection here in New York does allow me to share photos I took today.
